“Would Jesus discriminate?” If your answer is no, then ask yourself “why would we?” The Would Jesus Discriminate? campaign, sponsored in the DFW area by five local Metropolitan Community Churches, seeks to engage people in friendly discussion about Jesus’ message of inclusion.

Jesus affirmed gay couple

From our days in Sunday school, many of us are familiar with the Gospel story where Jesus healed the servant of a Roman centurion. This story is recorded in Matthew 8:5-13 and Luke 7:1-10. In Matthew, we are told that the centurion came to Jesus to plead for the healing of his servant. Read the whole story…

Jesus welcomed gay man.

In the ancient world, eunuchs were widely associated with homosexuality. Here a self-avowed eunuch is welcomed in to the early church without any concerns about his sexual orientation. He was welcomed on the same basis as other people – his faith in Jesus Christ. Read the whole story…

LOVE rather than judge
INCLUDE rather than exclude.Hatred paralyzes life.
Love releases it.
Hatred confuses life.
Love harmonizes it.
Hatred darkens life.
Love illuminates it.

God and Justice: So Send I You

Matthew 12:18
Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.

Matthew 23:23
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.

*Micah 6:8
And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Isaiah 58:6
Is that what you call a fast, a day acceptable to the LORD? Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?

Leviticus 19:15-16
Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly. Do not go about spreading slander among your people. Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the LORD.

Amos 5:24
Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!

Exodus 23:9
Do not oppress an alien; you yourselves know how it feels to be aliens, because you were aliens in Egypt.

Leviticus 19:33
When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat them. The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

John 20:21
Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As God has sent me, I am sending you.”
